For the Work-In-Progress 2023 Show at the Royal College of Art, ADS0 focused on the development of “installative spatial environments”, narrating about ongoing change. These environments act as a pictorial stage for themes of change. Living organisms create a unique mental “model” of the worlds they inhabit. Reality is no longer considered an external “objective” condition but an internal, subjective condition, resulting from individual perception. The Umwelt thus constitutes reality as it is perceived by the individual living organism. We explore the concept of “environment” as a stage.
